Myths about Tambora

There is a Myth on how the eruption started. Here it is:
Once while the King's Dog Walker was at a Temple a Man was disgusted that there was dogs in the temple. The Dog Walker told this to the King and the King was angry. The King decided to invite the man for dinner and play a trick on him. So he invited the Man to dinner and the Man came. After the dinner was finished the King ansked the Man, "How did you like the food?" And the Man replied, " Oh, I thought it was wonderful." Then the King said, " Wonderful because this is the meat from the same dogs yo ridiculed at the Temple." Then the Man burst in an outrage and screamed at the King. The King ordered the Man to be thrown into Mount Tambora. So the Kings Gaurds dragged the Man up the mountain and threw him in. While the Gaurds were walking down the Mountain, Mount Tambora erupted. It was as if the Gods were punishing the King for his deeds by killing the Kings people.

Famous Eruptions

The most famous eruption was in 1815. Mount Tambora exploded with 6 million times the force of an Atomic Bomb. It was said to have killed about 92,000 people. The first smaller eruption was heard 450 miles away, and the second larger eruption was heard up to 1,000 miles away. It burned the local civilians crops causing them to die from famine. It even got Bacteria into their Water Supply and caused many diseases to spread. Also a large ashcloud rose up and blocked the sun for the entire world. It was considered "The year without a summer". The temperature dropped for months on end.
